Vincent earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland and his Master’s from Johns Hopkins University. He built a distinguished career in architecture, design, and facilities project management. He worked for 15 years at Morgan State University in his hometown of Baltimore before moving to south Florida, where he later served as Architect and Associate Facilities Director at Florida Atlantic University.
Vincent is survived by his daughter, Lana Cucchiella, who he raised with Sherry Cucchiella; his life partner, Fia Myers; his step-daughters Maggie Myers and Ikuna Siale; two step-grandchildren Akapei and Ali Siale; and his brothers Joe Cucchiella and Alan Cucchiella.
He loved landscaping and was known for creating beautiful gardens. His family has fond memories of growing fruits and veggies in the garden they made together.
An avid music fan, Vincent’s record collection was unparalleled. He knew every good rock band from the 50s to the 90s, made mix tapes, and loved live music. In fact, him and Fiapo met through the Fort Lauderdale live music scene at Aruba cafe in 2009.
He was a devoted step-father, partner, and stand-in grandfather whose humor, openness, and generosity touched those around him. Thank you for remembering him with us.
Funeral services for Vincent Cucchiella will be held at Broward Burial and Cremation, located at 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33306, United States. The services are scheduled for October 31, 2025. The first service will take place from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by another service from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
