Vincent Nardone Verdile was born on October 11, 1964 in Philadelphia Pa., the son of Benjamin V.P and Rose Nardone Verdile. He died at age 58, survived by his mother Rose Verdile, his brother and sister in-law Anthony and Rebekah Verdile, his nieces Antoinette Reed, Shae Verdile, Rayanna Verdile, Amanda Carnefix, and Sarah Carnefix. He also leaves behind cousins Edward Sanderson Jr, Scott Sanderson, and Nick Colantonio(Uncle Nick). He was devoted to his family, and his influence and loving kindness will continue to be felt by all. He was especially attentive to his mother, including her in his daily life.
He graduated from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), where he was initiated into his beloved Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity, Beta Phi Chapter. He began teaching mathematics in the Camden NJ city schools, then he pursued and attained a Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie Fl in the year 2000. He began a career teaching mathematics in Broward County Fl which spanned 23 years. In 2004 he became a member of the Pembroke Pines Charter Middle School family. He was passionate about his teaching craft, specializing in teaching algebra and geometry. Vincent also mastered the art of scheduling, which his colleagues say will be very difficult to care for without his expertise.
In 1986, Vince was initiated into the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity, Beta Phi Chapter, as a 3rd generation APD brother. Like is father and grandfather before him, he became a National Officer of the fraternity. He served in various roles in the fraternity including South Jersey District Governor, and most recently Florida District Governor. He was instrumental in the founding of the South Florida Alumni Club, the Delta Psi Chapter at Lynn University, and the development of the Florida district as a whole. He gave his time, his financial support, and his vast knowledge of Alpha Phi Delta as often as possible to the many undergrads and fraternity brothers whose lives he touched.
As stated by one of his work colleagues, "In Vince's fraternity he was loved by his brothers and in Vince's work life at PPCMS he was loved by all of his sisters (and the few male colleagues as well). Vince will always be in our hearts and his many stories and one liners will continue to echo through our hallways."
One of the administrators at PPCMS stated it this way, "Vincent Verdile, a gentle giant that was beloved by students and faculty, truly loved our school, our students, and our staff. We are all so very fortunate to have had our lives touched by such a pure soul."
As stated by one of Vince's beloved APD brothers, " Much as we knew Vince as a dynamo in service to our fraternity, he was just as dedicated to his chosen vocation and his school. He has left major gaps in two systems. His is a loss from which we will all struggle to survive..."
