Vito Vincent Florio, age 93, died on November 28th, 2020 at his home in Coral Springs, Florida. Vito is survived by his children: Steven, Bob (Carolyn, his wife) and Ken; his grandchildren: Kim, Ken Jr., Nicole and Eric and five great grandchildren, and is predeceased by his wife, Elaine, and his daughter, Donna Marie. He shared his remaining years with Madeline Murphy, his loving companion.
Vito was born in Astoria, New York to his parents, Pasquale and Marie Florio. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Army for two years. After marrying Elaine and having two children, he moved to Franklin Square, Long Island and worked as a women’s sportswear manager in Manhattan’s garment industry for 20 years. Later in life he invented a pain-relieving drug and formed his own company, Inholtra.
Vito, a hard-working man, was kind, generous, patient and most of all a compassionate, caring individual who loved helping others. All throughout his life he enjoyed dancing and throwing parties for his relatives and friends. I believe Vito will be forever remembered as that rare and special person who gave of himself tirelessly! His strong faith in God will provide peace to those he has left behind.
