In St Marc, Haiti on June 27th, 1968 from Francois Ludovic Senatus and Amelie Janvier, was born a daughter who for the first time saw the light or the sunshine of the world. She stopped seeing the sunshine that once gave her hope, dreams, enthusiasm and excitement on December 1, 2010 at the age of 42. While growing up, Voltinette was a very exciting and energetic child especially when I came home from work she ran and jumped into my chest just to embrace me according to her father. At a very young age, the family left St Marc to Port au Prince where she attended her primary and secondary school.
At an early age her father left Haiti to migrate in United States and her mother stayed behind to care for the rest of the family. Voltinette grew up in a loving and caring environment; she was the entertainer or the super STAR of the family. She liked to listen to music, to sing, to dance and even participated in dancing competition during her High School years. Tina, as she was called by many, was always an outgoing person and full of energy.
In 1989, Tina was the first among the rest of the family to come to the United States as a result of a petition filed by her father to I.N.S. for all of them. Subsequently, the rest of the family came to the U.S. later.
While in the U.S. beautiful Tina continued her academic studies especially in the business field where she received a degree in Business Administration at Fort-Lauderdale College in 1992.
In 1993, Tina took a trip to Boston Massachusetts where she spent a few months with her extended family exploring the beauty, the nature, the history of the city. Then later she came back to Ft.Lauderdale where she met Arsene who is one of Carmand’s brothers. Arsene was astonished upon meeting young Tina because of her style, her beauty, her uniqueness, her authenticity, her outgoing that he called his younger brother in Canada to come immediately to meet the young aesthetic Tina. Carmand could not resist upon receiving the news to come to Florida to meet that aesthetic Tina Arsene was talking about. The same week Carmand and Arsene showed up to Tina. Carmand also was surprised in a heartfelt way to meet that beautiful Tina who will become the woman of his passion, the woman of his dreams, the woman of his life whom he was looking for. During the introduction, somehow Carmand immediatetly asked her to marriage so that he did not lose that beautiful inspired woman. The love between them was so vivid, so intense, so passionate, so expressive that later they got married and moved to Canada where Tina gave birth to Michelle and Tristan.
In 2003, the couple moved back to Florida in the pursuit of a different atmosphere and a different horizon. Tina and her husband continued the path of life in the business community where they opened ISLAND PALACE restaurant located in the heart of the community 4170 North SR7.
On Thanksgiving Day we were all together praying, eating, joking, laughing, talking, taking pictures and so on. Unfortunately, the Monday following Thanksgiving Day Carmand drove Tina to Coral Spring Hospital in the Emergency room due to fatigue, malaise and a little headache. Her condition deteriorated very rapidly the same Monday where she end up in ICU under a vetillator breathing for her. Then on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at 10 in the morning she went into cardiac arrest where she was pronounced dead. That news not only tormented the husband and the kids, but the entire family was in shock. My wife almost went crazy because she was at the bedside seeing everything.
Death is not pleasant; sadness prevails over those who were associated with Tina. I guess God was ready for his daughter to come home. Tina took her trip home.
