

When describing Werner, many things come to our mind. He was passionate about his Family. Werner was a wonderful family man. He had a big heart, very friendly hard working and always a loving Husband. We remember him as always smiling and laughing.Werner was born on August 26.1952 in Neuburg an der Donau, Germany. His parents were Maria and Paul Finaske. His Father died in 1962 and Werner was raised by his mother alone. Werner grow up with his Twin brother Juergen and his older brother Helmut. He had great spirit, but was also warm Hearted. When younger, he would climb his neighbor`s tree and steal the apples until one day the neighbor caught him. From 1958 to 1966, he graduated from El. and middle school. At the age of 16 Werner joined a Band "The Dustman" with Friends.Werner played the Electric Guitar.
At this time he met his future wife, Helga in school. It took many years before they got married. During special occasions he would play the Guitar, while his kids would sing along. When Werner was 14 years old his first job was an Auto Mechanic, but that only lasted about 2 weeks, because he only did oil changes. That's not something he wanted to do,so he quit.
He continued High School and also started working as a Sales-Manager. He graduated in 1969. At the age of 18, he joined the German Army for 12 years. He started his career as a Manager accounted Signal Corps 230. In Dillingen an der Donau in 1977 he took a 6 month course at the Tech-College in Dortmund,and received his Diploma as Industrie-Manager. In 1982 he got his degree for the Industry and Commerce. On March 1983 his active time as a Soldier in the Army ended. Werner also moved back his hometown, Neuburg an der Donau. He continued his career as a Manager of Operations and Bookkeeper for the Food service department in the Tilly-Kaserne in Neuburg an der Donau from 1984-1994.
On December 13th, 1985 he married his longtime beloved friend, Helga. The couple were very happy and blessed with 6 children. Werner was the kind of man who would give his last shirt on his back, if it meant it would make his kids happy. Werner and his wife were very active people and were active members of the Yacht-Club in Berching from 1989 to 1994. Both got there licenses for Yachts.
In 1994 Werner and his family made the move to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. There we bought the Rio Mar Hotel, which he managed. There Werner made many new friends from all over the world. In 1999 his mother passed away. This was a sad time for him. In 2002 they sold the Hotel. Werner started working for a Sandblasting Company, which he then started managing. He enjoyed outings with the kids on vacations such as Disney World and Universal Studios. His favorite vacation spot was Guana Cay, a small Island in the Bahamas. He cherished his time there because there were no phones, TV or cars. Just a quiet beach, where he can relax with his family. Werner is also blessed with 6 grandchildren from his daughters. Kevin 18, Denise 14, Simon 9 and Jacob 6 from Alexandra. Blake 4 from Nicole and Jesse 3 from Daniela. Werner loved being a "Opa". He would always greet them with hugs, kisses and "Keksis".
Werner made many friends throughout his life time. Many of his children's friends considered him a father/friend. He was warm Hearted and had many jokes to tell and always carried a smile. He enjoyed his Sundays reading the newspaper, splashing either in the pool or at the beach with his family. Werner was always a hard working man, always wanted to provide the best for his family, even when he became sick. Werner could not just sit at home and lay in bed. He wanted to provide for his family. Werner had his first stroke and heart attack in August 2012. He never let his family know if he was feeling ill. Werner got better after a couple of weeks and was released from the Hospital. He later celebrated his 60th Birthday with his wife and kids. Sadly 6 month later on February 18. 2013 Werner was rushed to the hospital again for several strokes and seizures. This time Werner stayed admitted for nine and a half weeks, but on April 25th, 2013 at 11:15 pm his heart stopped.
Werner will be always in our hearts, he will never be forgotten..
