

Carr Sr., William G., 83, passed away on June 1, 2010. He attended local schools and graduated in his home town of Bayonne, N.J., and graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1951. He retired from Hudson County Probation Department in 1990 when he and his wife moved to Florida. He served in the Army in W.W.II with the Amphibious Tractor in the Philippines and was discharged on December of 1946. William was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Bayonne, N.J., American Legion Post 142, and the Veteran of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Cecelia Carr(Sullivan); one son, William G. Carr Jr.; two daughters, Cecelia St. Clair(John) and Patricia Carr Rodrigues(Armindo); four grandsons, AJ and Braden St. Clair, and Hunter and Connor Rodrigues; a brother, Leonard Carr(Joan); nephew Christopher; and two nieces, Cathy Lee and Carol. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4595 Bayview Drive, Fort Lauderdale. 954-771-8950.
