
Al Schultz, 73, passed away on May 3, 2025, in Topock, Arizona. Born on July 8, 1951, in Berea, Ohio, Al lived a life defined by dedication—to his family, his country, and his lifelong passion for motorcycles.
Al proudly served in the United States Navy, demonstrating a commitment to service that would remain a cornerstone of his character throughout his life. After completing his military service, he found his calling in the motorcycle industry—a field where he would leave an indelible mark.
Over the years, Al worked at every Harley-Davidson dealership in San Diego County. His deep knowledge of motorcycles and unwavering work ethic earned him widespread respect not only locally but across the nation. Within the Harley community and beyond, Al was known as a trusted expert and a passionate advocate for the open road.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Al's heart belonged to his family and to the machines that fueled his spirit. Motorcycles were more than a job—they were a way of life. He also had a deep appreciation for cars and planes, finding joy in all things mechanical and fast.
Al is survived by his son Garrett Schultz; stepdaughter Tiffany Sommers; sister Melody Hughes; brother Craig Schultz; grandson Sam Schultz; and granddaughter Ellie Schultz. He was preceded in death by his mother Doralynne Stannard and father Edward Schultz.
A celebration of life will be held in Summer 2025, with more details to be shared in the coming months.
