John is preceded in death by his beloved father John Paul Murphy II.

John Paul Murphy III is survived by his devoted wife Theresa Murphy, and his loving children, John Paul Murphy IV, Shannon Eckelberger, and Michael Murphy. John is also survived by his mother Dorothy Murphy, his siblings, Joe Murphy, Dorie Schmeling, Patty Scott, Susan Crawford, and Dan Murphy.

Born to embrace life to the fullest, John had a passion for adventure and a deep appreciation for the beauty of all around him. One of his favorite places was the tranquil lake, where he cherished countless memories with family and friends. His love for the outdoors mirrored the love he had for his family, especially his seven cherished grandchildren. He was a guiding light in their lives, imparting wisdom and laughter at every opportunity.
