Alan Otto Jensen

Alan passed away peacefully with his wife, two son’s and his two daughter in law‘s by his side. Alan leaves behind his wife Carol of 54 years. His two son’s Matthew ( Melissa) Jensen of Chipley Florida. Mark Jensen (Carly and Kai) of Fort Myers Florida.

Alan was a family man who loved and adored his family. He was a hard-working man. He was a loyal, strong, loving husband, father and friend. He was a man who opened his heart and his home to many especially in New York. Whether it was family or his kids friends over the years. Alan was a police officer for the Nassau County police department for 21 years. In those years he was a street officer and he also worked in the records department. He worked many double shifts plus a second job at the gas station. He still managed to give his family lots of love a great life and wonderful memories, with his dedication to the police force. After his retirement in 1993 Alan moved his family to Fort Myers Florida. Where he started another job with the Collier County clerk of courts. He worked for 15 years before retiring.

Alan enjoyed many hobbies. He enjoyed boating, fishing, riding his motorcycle and fast cars. He love to watch The Barrett Jackson auction. He loved working around the house, he took pride in his home. He enjoyed sport shooting, he enjoyed RVing especially at Disney with his family. He also enjoyed many barbecues holidays and get togethers at his home. One of his most favorite hobbies was cruising the seas with his wife Carol, and spending time with his family. And his beloved Ellie she was his best companion and he loved her dearly.

A Celebration of Life for Alan will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park (12777 FL-82 Fort Myers, FL 33913).

Donations may be made in Alan Jensen’s name to Hope Hospice (9470 Healthpark Circle Fort Myers, Florida 33908).

All are welcome to a small gathering at The Jensen House immediately following the Funeral Service.
