She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Juanita Bradford, her first husband, Velton H. Flint I, her second husband, William R. Flint and her step-daughter Helen Weddel. Alecia is survived by her children: Conita (Mark) Prevatt, Velton “Tony” (Susan) Flint II, John W. Flint and Bill Lee Flint; her grandchildren: Travis (Tycee) Prevatt, Triesta (Marty) Way, Houston Flint, Scotti Flint, Trenten (Katie) Flint, Kaytie Ann (Travis) Hanner, Brian Mount and Gerald Mount; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Alecia had a great love for her church and enjoyed Gospel music. She was an active member of Church of God for over 50 years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, driving the church bus taking kids to church, singing in the choir and attended many general assemblies. She was a great cook being a ranchers wife, always feeding somebody - whether it be kids, grandkids, cowboys or church groups. She loved traveling and spending summers at her cabin in North Carolina.
Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL on Thursday, February 9th from 6 to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 10th at Labelle Church of God 590 E. Hickpochee Avenue, Labelle, FL from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 10 am. There will be a luncheon at church immediately following the service. Entombment in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alecia’s name would be appreciated to the Harry Chapin Food Bank 3760 Fowler Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
