

Mrs. Alice Sewell of North Fort Myers Florida passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026. She was born in Punta Gorda, Florida on May 18, 1934. She was raised on her family farm in Zolfo Springs and graduated from Hardee County High School. She married the love of her life, John Sewell on March 7, 1953, together they would build a large family with a strong foundation they could be proud of. She worked as a seamstress and retired from Robb & Stuckey custom drapery workshop in 1998. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who was passionate about her family, sewing, cooking and yard sales. She was always one to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or provide advice without hesitation. Whether it was mending a piece of clothing or broken heart, she was always there for her loved ones. She is survived by her seven children, Ann, Lisa, Sandy, Larry, Robin, George (Debbie), and Matt (Rae), who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren who will tell you she was the best Granny anyone could ask for. She was predeceased by her husband John and her siblings Helen and Fred. A graveside service will be held on January 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lee Memorial Park.
