Anita Adrienne Fournier

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anita Fournier who died peacefully on 7/19/26 in Ft Myers, FL at the age of 92. Born in Lewiston Maine, she was the daughter of Roland and Adrienne Langlois. Anita devoted her earlier years to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband Gerry and their four children, Diane, Elaine, Dan and Paul. Once her children were grown, she joined the work-force and spent many years working for St Mary's Hospital and remained closely engaged with Sister's of Charity/ Ladies of St Anne ministries throughout the years. She also served as a sacristan/ eucharistic minister at St Peter's Basilica.

In addition to being a dedicated servant and loving wife and mother, Anita enjoyed gardening which was evident by the spectacular gardens that she created around her home. She was also known for her tasty blueberry pies and incredible molasses cookies.

She will be remembered for her incredible wit, her endless expressions of gratitude, and her unwavering faith that guided her life. She is survived by her husband Gerry of 75 years, their four children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota Florida.
