

Anthony “Tony” D’Alessandro, 74, passed away on August 18,2022 with his family by his side. He was born April 7,1948, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Anthony D’Alessandro and Josephine (Verderamo) Romano.
Over the years Tony worked at Group W Cable/Paragon and Harron Cable/Adelphia Communication companies, being lead salesman many times over. He also worked in sales here in Florida for his son’s company Air Advantage Heating & Cooling. Along with being an estimator for All My Sons Moving and Storage Company. Up and until his time of sickness he worked along side of his son in law at Vision Pro Home Services.
Tony Proudly served his country in the US Army for eight years. He coached Little League for 15 years with many of his former players keeping in touch with Coach “D”. Tony was a diehard NY Yankees fan and loved to kibitz over scores and players with his two sons.
In his younger years he was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing in his past time.
Tony’s most precious time was spent with his family, his grandchildren were so special to him, and they all knew they had to stay in line or Papa would “box their ears!”. Each one has a story or stories of their Papa, as he was a man that spoke from his heart.
He adored his daughter Jenny and had a special “Father/Son” bond with his honorary son David.
He also shared deep love and admiration for his two sons Scott and Brett along with their wives Briggitte and Jennifer.
Tony is survived by his wife Virginia “Gini” D’Alessandro; his daughter and son in law Jenny and David “Daveman” Transou. Two sons and daughter in laws Scott and Briggitte Bramhall, Brett and Jennifer Bramhall. His grandchildren Ariana Bramhall (Chris), Scott Bramhall (Nicole), Victoria Transou, Sierra Goerner (Sam), Sebastian Bramhall, Alana Transou, Elesia Transou, and Luke Bramhall. One great grandson Liam Bramhall and two more on the way. His brothers Joey and Lisa D’Alessandro, Vinnie and Mary Jo D’Alessandro and Gary and Debbie D’Alessandro. His sisters Gaetana and Tony Del Virginia, Chancey and Elias Santiago, Toni Lynn D’Alessandro, Regina and Joe Lynch, and Carrol Ludington. Brother and sister in laws, Dolores Manderson, Todd and Gayle Manderson, Frank and Barbara Manderson, and Jack Pawelek. Also, countless nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special long-time friend, Carlos Perez, and his fur baby and sidekick Mocha. He is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Regina D’Alessandro and Josephine and Danny Romano. His in laws John and Jane Pawelek and brother in law Robert Manderson. Also, His furbaby Palyn.
Tony’s smile, his sense of humor, his HUGE presence in a room will be greatly missed. We will Love you Always. LEGENDS NEVER DIE!
Donations are welcome in his memory to Hope Hospice with a special “Thank you” to Anne for her care and concern through his entire journey, and to Colleen who kept him handsome in his last days, telling him “You still got it!” She was such a bright light. A visitation for Anthony "Tony" will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
