

Barbara LeClaire, 77, of Ft. Myers passed away on Februay,27. Her sudden death has left all her loved ones enormously saddened. Barbara is survived by her children Larura Dellinger of Indianapolis, Cynthia White and her husband John of Rockwall, TX, Scott Grimm and his wife Teri Rose, of St. Clair Shores, MI, daughter Carol Lassen in Ft. Myers, FL. Her son Charles Grimm passed away in 2004 and daughter in law Stephanie Leonard.. She is also survived by grandchildren Jonathan and Robert Lassen, and Katlyn Reisch of Ft. Myers. Bailey and Jack White of Rockwall, TX, and Jeff, Matt, Steven, Kenny, and Terry Dellinger. Barbara had one great grandchild.
Barbara is also survived by sister Eleanor Moreland of Pompano Beach, Fl. and brother George Smith of Scottsdale, AZ. She has numerous nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. She had many dear, dear friends, Barbara was preceeded in death by her husband Norman LeClaire, parents, her son, one brother, and three sisters.
Barbara lived in Michigan, San Diego, and then made her home in Florida in 1975. She spent many years in Pompano Beach before making Ft. Myers her home over 10 years ago. She was very family oreineted and devoted time to her close circle of friends. Baraba had several careers in her lifetime. She was an excellent seamstress making many of her childrens clothes while they were young. Barbara once owned AJ's restaurant in Pompano Beach which she really enjoyed.
Barbara traveled to many interesting places in her life inclduing Hong, Kong, China, Tahiti , Hawaii, Sri Lanka, and Mexico. But her favorite trip may have been a week on a sail boat in the Caribbean. She frequently visited New York and Las Vegas with trips to Detroit and Dallas to see family.
Barbara was a very caring and loving person with a large group of people who looked to her for support and companionship. She volunteered her time to many, as well as at the Edison-Ford Winter Estate here in Fort Myers.
Barbara had a very dynamic personality and her family will remember her for her many accomplishments and unique style. She saw the world from her own perspective and wouldn't take no for an answer.
