

Born on June 24, 1977, in Oxnard, California, Ben lived a life filled with love, adventure, and devotion to those closest to him. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to many.
Ben shared a wonderful life with his beloved wife, Reni Barkas. Together they embraced a passion for travel, creating cherished memories across the globe. Their journeys took them to Sweden, Indonesia, Scotland, London, Norway, and many other destinations, allowing them to experience different cultures and adventures side by side.
An avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan, Ben faithfully followed his favorite team and enjoyed celebrating their successes. He was also passionate about PC gaming, a hobby that provided both entertainment and connection with others who shared his interests.
At home, Ben found great happiness in the companionship of his beloved pets. He adored his dog, Chewy, and treasured his two cats, Pantai and Milo, who brought comfort and joy to his everyday life.
Ben is survived by his loving wife, Reni Barkas; his mother, Beth Harris; his brother, Daniel Barkas and his wife Kristina Barkas; his sister, Bonnie Barkas; his nieces, Lauryn Barkas and Lilly Coleman; and his nephew, Liam Coleman. He was preceded in death by his father, George Barkas.
Those who knew Ben will remember him for his kind heart, loyalty, sense of humor, and the love he showed to his family and friends. His memory will live on in the countless stories, adventures, and special moments shared with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A private family service will be held. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park in Fort Myers, Florida.
Ben will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
