

Calvin was born in Mt. Rose, St. Patricks, Grenada on January 10, 1933 to Ralph and Ruth Williams. In 1954, Calvin left Grenada and moved to New York. Two weeks after arrival in America, Calvin met Mayonette (Pansy) Williams, whom he married on September 29, 1956.
Calvin attended New York University and Brooklyn College. He was employed by Radio Receptor, and later, by the United States Post Office, working at JFK International Airport and Washington, DC. Calvin was an avid bowler as well as a sports enthusiast. In his free time, he enjoyed watching and playing cricket and rooting for the Milwaukee Braves baseball team, who later became the Atlanta Braves. Listening to jazz and calypso music was one of Calvin’s favorite pastimes. In 1992, Calvin retired and shortly thereafter began building his home in Lehigh Acres, Florida, where he and Pansy relocated in 1995 .
Calvin is survived by his wife Mayonette (Pansy) Williams, brothers Ralph (Joe) Williams and Wayne Alexis; sisters Avis Daniels, Bobina (Bobby) Feingold, Donna Walker; three children: Farley Williams, Cheryl Allamby, David Williams; and five grandchildren: Shannon Brown, Matthew Williams, Marissa Allamby, Kristen Williams, Daniel Williams; nephew and niece: Michael Williams and Pamela Mebane; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at Hodges Funeral Home on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hope Hospice Lehigh Acres.
