Carol Diana Gadoury

Carol Diana Gadoury (Gibson) 55 Alva, Florida died peacefully on Tuesday, October 31st at Gulf Coast Medical Center after a lengthy and valiant battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Carol was born on July 30, 1968, in Fredericksburg, VA, to Carmen Tylor of Kauai, HI and the late Charles (Don) Zepp.

Carol is predeceased by her father, Charles (Don) Zepp.

Carol is survived by her mother, Carmen Kenega; her husband, Ted Gadoury of Alva, FL; her children, Allen William Gibson Jr. of Autryville, NC, Julie Marie Stimes of Lehigh Acres, FL, Heather Marie Gibson of Salemburg, NC; her step-children, Teddy Gadoury of Fort Myers, FL, and Tara Gadoury of Easthampton, MA; her grandchildren, Adela Caroleen Eleby, Aamiya Christina Eleby, and John Ivan Rogel; her step grandchildren, Henley Gadoury and Macie Gadoury; her siblings, Kathryn Palmer of Elkhart, IN, Michael Tylor of Alva, FL, and Vincent Tylor of Kauai, HI; and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was a hard-working, selfless wife and mother always putting others’ needs before her own. She was the ‘rock’ helping anyone and everyone in need. Carol managed her own business – assisting her clients in keeping their homes spotlessly clean and organized. She was one tough woman—a true warrior—battling her disease and its symptoms with tremendous valor, courage and endless grace never-ever complaining.

Carol loved tending to her grandchildren, her garden, and doing yardwork. She enjoyed traveling and the many cruises she and her family took together. On Sundays, you’d find Carol watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys with Ted and her pups! Carol also enjoyed the many trips visiting the mountains of North Carolina, taking week-end getaways to the Pine Island Sound and hopping on the back of a Harley.

A visitation for Carol will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82 Fort Myers FL 33913, followed by a Celebration of Life from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A light brunch will follow the Celebration of Life at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Lee Health ALS Clinic, 13601 Plantation Rd., Fort Myers, FL 33912.
