

Carol Nicotra passed away in her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on August 15, 1961 to Walter and Marguerite (Elmer) Williams; she moved to Ft. Myers in 1999. Carol was a dedicated nurse and a loyal employee for over 15 years with LMHS at Health Park Care Center. She loved animals and recently raised bloodhounds to be trained in search and rescue, in memory of her oldest son JR.
Carol was a loving wife to husband Jack Bleckert, and a devoted mother to daughter Christine, sons JR, Michael, Ryan and Robby Nicotra. She is survived by her mother, Marguerite Williams, sister, Nancy Gallimore, sister and brother-in-law Donna and Rhodney Dobson, and brothers, Ronald Williams and Walter Williams, Jr. She was a caring grandmother and aunt to grandchildren, Alyssa and Joe Blankenberger, and Emma York, and nieces and nephews, Greg Gallimore, Kelly Sayers, and Jennifer Wood, as well as grandniece and nephews Noah Wood, Zoey Sayers and Che Gallimore. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Eugene Williams and son John (JR) Nicotra.
Carol was a very special person and will always be remembered and missed by her family and many friends. Carol was known for her ability to light up a room and loved to visit with everyone. She was very involved in her community through her work at LMHS. Family would like to thank the dedicated staff from Hope Hospice who provided outstanding care to Carol in the final days of her illness.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on September 8th at 4:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, 12777 State Rd 82, Ft. Myers, Fl 33913.
