

Charles Gerard Richmond aka "Jerry" was born on May 1, 1933, in Lakeville, Massachusetts to his loving parents Winston Dunham Richmond and Dorothy Gardiner (Choate) Richmond. He had many wonderful memories of his childhood in Lakeville and New England. Jerry was an incredibly intelligent man, who graduated from Middleboro, MA High School in 1951, then went on to Southeastern MA University earning a BA in 1979 and then onto Babson college to earn his MBA in 1978. Jerry married the love of his life, Vivian LaFleur, on June 11, 1960. They were extremely blessed and shared over 63 happy years together. Jerry will continue to live on through his wife Vivian and family, Terese' Richmond, daughter, AK; Andrew Charles Richmond, son, NH; Clifton and Sandra Richmond, brother/sister in law, FL, and many loving nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Jerry was a proud Korean war era veteran, having served in the U.S. Army-1953-1960 in Army Intelligence, Japan. He was also extremely proud that he was able to be a Veterans Honor Flight recipient.
Jerry was a hard working man and took pride in how he was able to provide for his family. During his career as a Hoods Milkman and Friendly's Marketing Manager, he put in many hours of work but it is also where he made lifelong friendships.
Jerry believed in contributing to every community he lived in. He served at St. John the Baptist parish, Ludlow, as President 3yrs in Sacred Heart of Jesus Order, Order of Alhambra, Knights of Columbus, President, Ludlow and Ft. Myers, member 4th Degree K of C, Lions Club President, Ludlow, Lector & Ecumenical Minister, 10 years at St. Vincent de Paul, Ft. Myers. Jerry was particularly proud of his work with child learning disabilities awareness as Co-President with Kathy Nacimento in the MACLD chapter,Taunton MA.
Jerry will always be remembered as a Loving Husband, Father, Friend and servant of God. John 3:16
The family plans to have a memorial mass at St. Vincent de Paul, Ft. Myers at a TBD date and time. Jerry's final resting place will be Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota FL. Service date and time is pending for May 2024.
