Charles is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Rita Torre (née Bolognese), his parents, Andrew J. Torre and Charlotte Torre (née Bostwick), and his brother, Ronald Torre.
Charles is lovingly remembered by his two children, Ann Marie De Marco (née Torre) and her husband, Robert, of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Charles Torre of Orange City, Florida; his four grandchildren, Christopher Torre, Shawn Torre, Nicolas De Marco, and Jessica De Marco; his brother, Andrew Torre, Jr. and his wife, Patricia; his sister, Carol Torre and her wife, Mickey; and his step-brother, Robert Richards.
Charles was born and raised in East Rutherford, New Jersey. During his high school years, he also studied carpentry. He worked for Darling Delaware in Newark, New Jersey for over 40 years.
Charles loved going out to dinner and dancing with his wife, Virginia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was also passionate about volunteering; he was a member of the Elmwood Park Volunteer Ambulance Corp. for 10 years and served as president for some time.
Charles will forever be remembered as a kind and generous soul who brought life and laughter into the lives of everyone he met.
The funeral service will be held at Hodges at Lee Memorial, 1277 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913, on Wednesday, September 11 (starting at 10:00 AM for immediate family, and 10:30 AM for family and friends).
