Chester Floyd Vause

Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved fishing and wood working. He was a member of Russell Park Baptist Church in East Fort Myers. He spent many happy years of service to the Lord there while making treasured memories of love, fellowship, and friendships that would last a lifetime.

Chester worked for Sprint Telephone Company for 33½ years before retiring.

Chester was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna (Midge) Vause, his daughter, Karen Vause Green, his son-in-law, Robert Green, his parents, Cader Vause and Esther Pigot Vause, and his brothers, Charles Vause and Lamar Vause.

He leaves behind many loved ones to cherish his memory -

CHILDREN: Carol Vause Brooks (husband Billy), Jeff Vause

GRANDCHILDREN: Katie Norton (husband Chris), Robert Green, Travis Green, Betsy Poole (husband Bryan), Brittany Scott (husband Wes), Amy Norris (husband Josh), Jacob Brooks (wife Jessica)

GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: John David Norton, Luke Norton, Sawyer Green, Rebecca Green, Liam Poole, Amelia Poole, Milo Norris, Riley Norris, Jasper Brooks, Charlie Brooks, and Baby Scott on the way

Chester also leaves behind two dear sisters- in-law, Ruby Vause and Pearl Thorsen, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will be holding a private graveside service to celebrate his wonderful life.

A Committal Service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913, US, on October 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.
