Chloe Elizabeth Jones

May 24, 2006 – September 20, 2026

On September 20, 2026, our family lost Chloe Elizabeth Jones to a devastating brain aneurysm. At just 20 years old, Chloe was only beginning her life, with dreams and aspirations of pursuing a career in marine science. Her life was far too short, but the love, joy, and light she shared with everyone around her will never be forgotten.

A Beautiful, Creative Soul

Chloe was an incredibly talented, artistic, and musical soul. She had a passion for art and makeup, and from her earliest years, she was always singing. She performed numerous solos and even challenged herself from a young age with a few a cappella songs. When the windows were open, her neighbors and everyone around her could often hear her beautiful voice.

You could measure Chloe’s happiness by how much she sang. Her music was a reflection of the joy she carried inside, and her voice will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her.

A Life Full of Adventure and Memories

One of Chloe’s fondest memories was traveling to France and Switzerland with her grandparents, Mike and Catherine Urban, who served as chaperones. That special experience created memories she would carry with her throughout her life.

Even as a young child, Chloe was incredibly active and always looking for her next adventure. She loved climbing trees, and you could almost always find a moving tree branch wherever Chloe was playing. She would be bouncing, climbing, and maneuvering her way through the branches, completely at home among the trees.

Chloe also loved sports, and one of her favorite experiences was playing ice hockey on a team made up mostly of boys. Her love of hockey was matched by her love for her favorite player, Alex Ovechkin. Her coach agreed to give Chloe her favorite player’s number, 8, and eventually gave her the nickname “Chlovechkin,” a name that perfectly captured both her love of the game and the personality she brought to the ice.

That fearless, energetic, and playful spirit was simply part of who Chloe was—a spirit that stayed with her throughout her life.

After relocating to Cape Coral in 2020, Chloe attended Oasis Middle and High Schools, where she continued growing, discovering her interests, and building friendships.

Chloe loved attending concerts with her father and sister, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She had a passion for amusement parks, especially roller coasters, and was a true Disney girl at heart.

Some of her happiest moments were spent at Disney with her mother, visiting as often as they could. Chloe spoke often about her next Disney trip. She loved being a Disney passholder and was especially looking forward to drinking around the world at Epcot on her 21st birthday. That dream, like so many others, will forever remain among the dreams Chloe never had the chance to fulfill.

Chloe loved being outdoors and treasured her Sunday Fundays at Fort Myers Beach with her mother. She could often be found shelling, sunbathing, and occasionally enjoying a jet ski ride after successfully convincing her mother to let her go. Those days filled with sunshine, laughter, and time together were among the many simple moments that made her happy.

Her Dreams and Passions

Chloe was currently attending Florida SouthWestern State College, with aspirations of transferring to the University of Central Florida to specialize in marine science. She was excited about her future and the possibilities that lay ahead.

While attending college, Chloe most recently worked as a water park lifeguard and slide attendant. She was building her life, pursuing her education, and taking steps toward the future she envisioned for herself.

Chloe was also a true foodie. She loved cooking just as much as she loved eating. She had an extraordinary talent for tasting food and identifying the ingredients in the dishes she tried. Her passion for food was just another way she experienced and enjoyed life.

Her Beautiful Spirit

Anyone who knew Chloe knew that she didn’t simply walk into a room—she bounced and often cartwheeled into it. She carried an energy that was impossible to miss. Her light shone so brightly, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her felt it.

One of the special things about Chloe was her ability to form tight bonds with the neighbors wherever she lived. She never simply lived somewhere—she became part of the community. At her most recent residence in the Calypso Cove community, Chloe often made her rounds, checking on and visiting with many of her neighbors. She enjoyed talking with them, learning new games such as Rummikub, and simply being part of their lives.

The love Chloe shared with her neighbors was evident in the most unexpected way. On the day our family lost her, Heather found candy, treats, and banana popsicles scattered throughout Chloe’s home—little reminders of the people she visited and the connections she had made. Each one told a story of the relationships Chloe had built and the joy she brought to those around her.

Chloe especially looked forward to snowbird season in Florida. She loved when her grandparents and father would come to visit, and she also looked forward to seeing her snowbird friends at Calypso Cove return. These were people she had grown close to and genuinely cared about.

Chloe brought happiness, laughter, and a beautiful spirit into the lives of those around her. She had a way of making life feel brighter simply by being present. Her relationships were never superficial—she made connections, she checked on people, she remembered them, and she loved being surrounded by people she cared about.

There will forever be a void in our family that cannot be filled. Chloe was deeply loved, and she will be missed more than words could ever express. Her memory will live on through the stories we share, the laughter we remember, the music she sang, the adventures she enjoyed, the people she touched, and the countless moments of happiness she gave us.

Those Who Loved Her

Chloe is survived by her mother, Heather Jones; her father, Matthew Jones; her sister, Maura Jones; her aunt and uncles, Erin Urban, Paul Graf, and Christopher Jones; her cousins, Evan and Tyler Jones; and her grandmothers, Catherine Urban and Barbara Jones.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Michael Urban and Evan Jones (Buddy), and her aunt, Lori Jones.

In Lieu of Flowers

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that held a special place in Chloe’s heart.

Chloe found inspiration in seeing children facing life-threatening illnesses receive the gift of a wish. During her visits to Disney, she loved seeing the happiness these experiences brought to children and their families.

In Chloe’s memory, we ask that you continue to find joy in the little things, sing a little louder, love a little deeper, check on the people you love, and never forget to let your light shine.

You were only 20, with so much life left to live, so many places to explore, and so many dreams waiting to unfold.
