Christy enjoyed a successful twenty-year career in the automotive industry, specializing in Information Technology. Through hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, she later transitioned into real estate, where she achieved tremendous success and earned the opportunity to retire early. She was proud of what she accomplished professionally, but she would be the first to tell you that no career, title, or achievement ever compared to the life she built with the people she loved.
A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Christy loved her family fiercely. Being a mother to Dominic and Savanna was one of the greatest joys and most important roles of her life. She was endlessly involved in their lives, volunteered at their schools, celebrated their accomplishments, fought for them when they needed a voice, and made certain they always knew just how deeply they were loved.
Christy had an enormous heart and an instinct to take care of people. She was generous with her time, fiercely loyal, and always willing to help someone who needed her. She was also wonderfully outspoken, quick-witted, strong-minded, and refreshingly incapable of pretending to be anything other than exactly who she was. Those fortunate enough to know her knew that loving Christy meant getting all of her: her compassion, her strength, her laughter, her opinions, her humor, and her extraordinary loyalty.
Christy found tremendous happiness traveling with her family, especially anywhere near the ocean. The beach was her happy place, where the sunshine, sand, salt air, and water brought her a sense of peace and freedom. Some of her happiest memories were created traveling, exploring new places, and simply being together with the people she loved most.
She also had an unmistakable sense of style and presence. Christy loved beautiful red lipstick, fashion, and her signature high heels, and she rarely went anywhere without looking unmistakably like herself. Her radiant smile could light up a room, but what people will remember even more was the woman behind it: confident and elegant, yet funny, compassionate, fiercely authentic, and completely devoted to those she loved.
Home for Christy was never simply a place. It was JR, Dominic, Savanna, the family and friends gathered around her, and, very much, the animals she adored. Zeus, Apollo, Sugar, Spice, and Sage were members of her family and recipients of the same enormous heart she gave so freely to the people in her life.
Christy is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Gill Jr. “JR”; her beloved children, Dominic and Savanna; her parents, Kevin Kehoe and Cynthia Kehoe; her brother, Kevin Kehoe II; her father-in-law, Bryan Douglas Gill Sr. and his wife, Patti; her sister-in-law, Niki Houston and her husband Jay and their daughter Harper; sister-in-law, Kathleen Considine; brother-in-law, Ryan Considine; her cherished pets, Zeus, Apollo, Sugar, Spice, and Sage (also affectionately known as Speedy); and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives are forever better because she was part of them.
Christy’s life was far too short, but it was anything but small. She lived with strength, curiosity, humor, generosity, passion, and an enormous capacity to love. She believed deeply in being true to herself, standing up for the people she loved, questioning what didn’t make sense, and living life on her own terms.
Her family will miss her laughter, her unmistakable voice, her fierce love, her beautiful smile, and the presence that made a house feel like home. The countless memories she created, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely will remain with those who knew her for the rest of their lives.
She was deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed. And she will never, ever be forgotten.
