Connor Moran Blais

Connor Moran Blais, 28, was killed tragically in a hit-and-run crash in July 2026. Though his life was far too short, Connor filled every day with kindness, generosity, adventure, and an unwavering love for the people around him. His loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Connor had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcome. His warm smile, quick wit, and genuine compassion left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether offering a helping hand, celebrating someone else’s success, or simply making people laugh, Connor’s greatest legacy is the countless lives he touched through his kindness.

One of Connor’s proudest accomplishments was earning the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout service project, he organized a community-wide backpack and school supply drive benefiting children in need throughout Lehigh Acres, working alongside local schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations to help students begin the school year prepared and confident. The project reflected the values that guided his life: service, leadership, humility, and compassion.

Through Scouting, Connor discovered another passion that would shape his life. As part of a Boy Scouts of America international exchange program, he volunteered at Zellhof Youth Camp in Austria, where he returned as a member of the international staff in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022. There he formed lifelong friendships and became known for his infectious enthusiasm, tireless work ethic, and ability to make everyone feel at home. Following his passing, the camp lowered its flags to half-staff in his honor—a testament to the lasting impact he made on a community thousands of miles away. Connor also had a lifelong passion for trains, history, and travel. He was fascinated not only by locomotives, but by the engineering, architecture, and infrastructure that connected people and places. Whether exploring historic railways, visiting museums, or watching the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy, Connor found joy in every journey.

His love of travel began with his mother, Janet, who affectionately called him her “travel partner.” Together they explored much of the world, creating unforgettable memories that sparked Connor’s lifelong curiosity about different cultures, history, and adventure.

Most recently, Connor shared one final European journey with his devoted partner, Lawrence Cassenti. Connor carefully planned every detail of the trip, beginning in Transylvania, Romania, where together they explored medieval villages and fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting Bran Castle, famously known as Dracula’s Castle. To commemorate their adventure, they received matching tattoos before continuing by train through Vienna and on to Munich, Germany—a city Connor loved and was excited to share. It was a journey filled with adventure, laughter, history, and love, creating memories Lawrence will cherish forever.

Connor found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: gathering with friends, making people laugh, planning the next adventure, watching trains, and spending time with those he loved. He had an extraordinary ability to make ordinary moments unforgettable.

Connor is survived by his loving mother, Janet; his father, Doug; his beloved brother, Derek; his devoted partner, Lawrence; and many relatives, lifelong friends, fellow Eagle Scouts, coworkers, his cherished Zellhof family in Austria; and his cat, Tiger.

While those who loved Connor continue to mourn this unimaginable loss and seek justice in the wake of his tragic death, they choose to remember him for the extraordinary way he lived—with compassion, curiosity, service, generosity, and boundless love.

He was, and always will be, deeply loved.

He will be profoundly missed.

His memory will live on forever.
