Danielle Reiko Bratcher

Danielle Reiko Carson Bratcher of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on January 10, 2019 at the age of 41.

Danielle was born in Fort Myers, Florida on August 23, 1977. She graduated from Cypress Lake High School, and later earned an AS degree in Paralegal Studies. She married Andrew Bratcher on April 15, 2000 and they had three children together – Carson, Dawson, and Melody.

Danielle had a vibrant and bold personality with an enthusiasm for life that included a witty sense of humor. Those who knew her also appreciated her unpretentious nature and her compassionate heart. You could count on her to give her honest opinion and also to help those who needed it. She always made people feel stronger, just knowing they had her support. Danielle enjoyed life every day and lived by the belief that it is a waste of time to stress over trying to make everything perfect in an imperfect world. She felt that one’s best is always good enough. She was extremely proud of her Japanese heritage and felt a connection to the culture. She also had a love for Persian cats, most especially her own – Michi. Danielle was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.

Danielle’s greatest joy in life was raising her children with her husband and spending time together as a family, sharing new experiences and enjoying simple pleasures. She was conscientious about guiding her children through life, always giving sound advice.

Spending summer vacations on the beaches of Sanibel Island were always special to Danielle, both as a child and as a mother. The memories and good times with her family were precious to her. The tradition will continue and her loving spirit will be watching, encouraging, smiling and laughing as she always did.

She was always loyal and devoted to family members and mourned the loss of her father and most recent loss of her brother with whom she shared a close bond.

Those who knew and loved Danielle will be forever grateful to have had her in their lives. She enriched others’ lives in so many amazing ways. That spark of fun that was so much a part of her will be deeply missed. Her bright smile would light up a room and make everyone happy. She was cherished more than words can convey. Danielle was truly a beautiful person – inside and out.

Danielle is predeceased by her father, Danny Carson and her brother, Travis “Bo” Carson. She is survived by her mother, Marie Carson; her husband, Andrew Bratcher; her son, Carson Bratcher (age18); her son, Dawson Bratcher (age 10); her daughter, Melody Bratcher (age 7); her sister, Heather Wilkins and Heather’s son, Houston Wilkins; aunt and uncle, Julie and Doug Desmond; cousin, Noelle Graff and her husband, Chris Graff and their children, Brant and Brody Graff; cousin, Jarrett Desmond and his wife, Sarah Desmond; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susan and Rocky Bratcher; and many other loving relatives.

My heart is broken for Danielle’s family. I love her and her kids as Melody was my student last year and I have been tutoring Dawson on and off since kindergarten. I know that she loved her kids and family with all her heart and I will always remember her smile and laugh every time I spoke of them and told her how wonderful they are! Please reach out to me for anything you need!!!! Love you all❤️
