Darlene Marie Stawovy

September 17, 2026. She was born on February 13, 1947 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. She dedicated her life to serving others in various occupations including church ministry, teaching, and as a career phlebotomist with the American Red Cross.

She is survived by son, Jeff Compton and his wife Karen Compton. Grandchild Abigail Oleson and her husband Grant Oleson with great grandchildren Macie and Oliver. Grandchildren Emily and Jordan Compton. Son Kevin Compton and his wife Tammy Compton. Grandchildren Baron and wife Gabby Compton, Patricia Compton, Magenta Summerall and her husband Matthew Summerall with great grandchildren Colton Summerall, Enzo Santiago, and Nova Summerall. Grandchildren Victoria, Savannah, Johnathan, and Charlee Compton, Krystal McLean and her husband Jake McClean with great grandchildren Wyatt and Kip McClean, grandchildren Sierra Cancel, and Marley McNeal. Daughters through marriage to Jan Stawovy—Stephanie Lussier and husband Dan Lussier with grandchildren Alivia and Silas Lussier. Stacey Bopp and Husband Jeff Bopp with grandchildren Jeremiah, Jedidiah , Josiah, Sarinna, and Joel Bopp.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert E. Hull, mother Gertrude Hull, and brother Herb Hull.

A celebration of life will be held on November 7, 2026 at 11 AM at Calvary Assembly of God 11431 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33905. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Calvary Assembly of God to build the new Darlene’s Place Thrift Store in her honor. An anonymous donor is offering a matching grant up to $15,000 to aid in the construction costs of this project.
