March 24, 1959 – March 10, 2018
Debra Bonacolta, aged 58, passed away on March 10, 2018 at Gulf Coast Hospital. Debra was born March 24, 1959 and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. She went to school at St. Aloysius High School. Debbie enjoyed going out to eat in Downtown Fort Myers and then walking around to listen to the live music during art walk. She also loved spending time with her grandson, Jonny. She loved taking him to the park and playing games with him.
Debbie is preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Samol(1985); parents, Angelo Bonacolta (1992) and Gloria Bonacolta (2004); brother, Angelo (2016); sister in law, Paula (2016); nephew, Thomas (2011). Debra is survived by the lights of her life, her daughter Irene Samol (Jon Smith) and her grandson Jonathan (Jonny) Smith. Second husband David Goslin, Her sister Jodie Santana, and her brother Charlie (Erika). Her Godmother Ginger Fahrenholz, Uncle Charles (Chickie) Fahrenholz , Goddaughters Stacy and Marie Schmitt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Debbie was a beautiful, caring, loving, spiritual women. She worked in the medical field for many years as a certified medical assistant and billing specialist. She received many awards in recognition and appreciation for her hard work, leadership, and dedication. She was also a member of several 12 Step Programs and helped hundreds of women into and in recovery over the last 30 years. Debra was loved by many and will now be missed greatly by all her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Ft Myers, FL from 6-8pm. The funeral service will take place Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. There will also be a reception after burial for friends and family.

The house we were brought up on Condict St. Jersey City NJ, then Debbie and her first husband , Raymond, bought house next door and that's where Irene was born.
