Debra Kay Ramey

With profound sadness and hearts full of love, we announce the passing of Debra Kay Ramey, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 66 on July 23, 2026.

Born on March 25, 1960, in New Boston, Ohio, Debbie carried the values of faith, kindness, and family with her throughout her life. She was a devoted Christian whose unwavering faith in God guided the way she lived. Her trust in the Lord gave her strength through life’s joys and challenges, and she shared His love through her compassion, generosity, and gentle spirit.

For 25 wonderful years, Debbie shared a loving marriage with her devoted husband, Keith. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. They were truly best friends who did everything together. They were inseparable. Keith stood faithfully by her side every single day until the very end, loving her with all of his heart. Their love for one another was evident to everyone who knew them.

Debbie was a proud and loving mother to her daughters, Brandy and Lisa. She also embraced her role as a stepmother with the same love and devotion she gave to her own children, welcoming Courtney, Kayla, and Lance into her heart. Lance preceded her in death. Debbie loved each of her children deeply and treasured the unique bond she shared with every one of them.

Nothing brought Debbie greater joy than being a Mamaw. She was blessed with six beloved grandchildren—Alexander, Paul, Gianni, Kamdyn, Amelia, and Taytum. Each held a special place in her heart and brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Debbie had a personality that could light up any room. Her warm smile, infectious laugh, and genuine kindness drew people to her wherever she went. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether it was a lifelong friend or someone she had just met, Debbie made people feel like family. Her family often said she was the heart of every gathering. If Debbie was there, there was laughter, music, good food, and a home filled with love.

She loved opening her home to others and was known for hosting unforgettable parties filled with laughter, music, dancing, and the people she loved most. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—turning up the music, dancing without hesitation, creating beautiful paintings, and preparing meals that brought everyone together around the table. Her recipes, lovingly passed down through countless family gatherings, will continue to be shared for generations. She had a special gift for making every holiday magical, filling her home with warmth, traditions, delicious food, and memories her family will cherish forever.

Debbie also had a special companion, her beloved little orange cat, Leo. She adored him, and he brought her comfort, companionship, and endless happiness.

She is also survived by her two brothers, Roger and Dennis, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember her loving heart, gentle nature, generous spirit, and steadfast faith.

Debbie will be remembered for the way she loved without hesitation, welcomed others with open arms, and found comfort and hope in God’s promises. She had a gift for making people feel seen, cared for, and valued. Her greatest legacy is the love she poured into her family, the traditions she created, and the faith she lived out every day.

Even through her final illness, Debbie faced each day with remarkable strength, courage, and unwavering faith. Though her body grew weary, her love for her family never diminished, and her trust in the Lord remained steadfast. She fought with grace and incredible resilience, surrounded every day by the unwavering love of Keith and her family, who never left her side. Their love, prayers, and devotion carried her through her final journey and were a testament to the deep love they all shared.

While her family grieves the loss of her physical presence, they find peace in knowing she has been welcomed home into the arms of Jesus. Her love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Debbie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved. Though she will be deeply missed, she will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida on Wednesday, July 29th from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
