

He was a loving and caring man who was always there to help people. He strongly believed in the importance of education and encouraged learning throughout life. He was a devoted soccer fan who enjoyed following and supporting his favorite teams.
In Haiti, he worked as a Scale operator weighing Sugar cane for the Haitian Sugar company for over 20 years, where he was known for his discipline, honesty and Strong work ethic. After moving to the United States, he became a cab driver in Boston MA, where he continued to work hard and serve his community with pride.
He is survived by his wife, Lucilia Louis Fortune, his children Jean Eval Fortune, Jean Marc Fortune, Yves Fortune, Jean Evens Fortune, Israelle Fortune.
His grandchildren Valerie, Rhiguens, Jusepe, Chrisley, Leon Michel, Emelyse, Marcus Fortune. Annabelle and Jonathan Cesar.
His brother Moliere Fortune and his siters Francoise and Lujenia Fortune.
His nephew and nieces Pierre Fortune, Maxo Fortune, Jean Robert Fortune, Fred Fortune, Yolene Fortune, Yolette Fortune, Jean Ronis Fortune, Eveline Fortune, Macdonald Fortune, Abens Joseph, Rose Camel Desilus, Eunide Fortune, Lovely Fortune , Katia Fortune, Matise Fortune, Arold Fortune ,Josette Fortune , Marie Carmel Fortune ,Leone Fortune, Marie Andre Fortune, Mona Fortune , along with other loving relatives and friends.

Dominique Fortune (Alias Edouard)will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and strong character. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, located at 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL, 33913, on February 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at St Raphael Catholic Church, located at 2514 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL, 33971, on February 14, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
