In 1951, Doris became a stewardess for American Airlines in what is known as The Golden Age Of Flying until her retirement. She was curious about everything. An avid book reader, connoisseur of movies old and new, a card player, and all things shopping, especially her favorite - "Macys". She was always up for a glass of wine and getting a bite to eat. She was up for anything except early mornings. Doris had a true zest for life and always surprised everyone with her unfailing spirit.
Doris is survived by her daughter Cathy Giannone Russo and her husband George J. Russo and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Giannone; son John Giannone and siblings John, Edward, Isabelle, Pauline and Evelyn.
A Celebration of Life Cocktail Party will take place in December 2023. The date, time and place are still pending.
