Dorothy "Dot" G. DEVAN

Dorothy “Dot” Devan, daughter of the late Raymond & Ethel (Swift) Griffith passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 18, 2020 at the age of 89. Dot was born on April 11, 1931 in Clairton, PA. She attended the public schools of Allegheny County and was a graduate of Clairton High School in 1949. Dorothy worked in the hospitality industry most of her life and also enjoyed putting smiles on customers faces as a florist delivery driver. In recent years, Dorothy loved to volunteer her time at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL. She also enjoyed knitting baby blankets and caps for St. Jude’s Hospital. Dorothy is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Kenneth Henderson, her son Kenneth Jr., her second husband Robert Devan and her brother Roy Griffith. Dorothy is survived by Son, Dennis (Ranell) Henderson and Daughter, Janet (Vernon) Peer, Grandchildren, Wendy Henderson, Melissa (Chris) Tindell, Shawn (Misty) Peer, Wesley (Gina) Peer, Amber (Chris) Orlando, Great Grandchildren, Hailey, Madison, Kayla (Colton), Julia, Jacob, Cooper, Dorrell, Daxtyn, Gavin, Liam, Zane, Raelynn, Rhonin, Phoenix, Skyler and Great-Great Grandchildren Hazel, Alice & Bryson. Dorothy was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date and will be announced once finalized.

Such good memories growing up in Iona Gardens as a little girl the Henderson's and our family lived on the same lane. Dot always had a smile on her face and a welcoming heart. Prayers for all the family may God give comfort and strength.

Dot and Kenny lived down the street from us in Iona. As kids we spent a lot of time at family cookouts. Sorry to hear of her passing. Sending hugs and prayers to the family.

I met Dot over 40 years ago her and my mother we’re very close friends worked together for several years I loved her dearly she was a part of our family and always made me laugh she will surely be missed sending prayers for comfort and peace to the entire family
