Earnestine "Teeny" Brock

Virginia Earnestine (Teeny) Brock passed away on January 25, 2017, at Heartland Rehab Center in Ft. Myers, FL after a short illness. She was 89. Teeny was born in High Point, NC, to Viola and Charlie. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: infant Charles and Kenneth; former husband, Lester Utt; sbands: Woodrow Lee Holloway and John Brock; and daughter, Glenna. Teeny is survived by her children: Lesa (CB) Hauser, Colin (Candace) Utt and son-in-law,Tom Sytsma. She graduated from High Point High School and earned two degrees later in life when she lived in Tampa, FL. Teeny had many dear relatives

and friends in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Teeny spent half of her life in Florida, but she loved to travel. Through her adventures with Lee Holloway, she met many who became treasured friends. Later she married her friend John Brock who came from Southampton, England. She favored

tea, teapots and shortbread cookies. In addition to raising her four children, Teeny loved her step-children and their children. She had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great, great grandchildren. She loved each and every one. Love and kindness were her standards and everyone who came in contact with her soon understood that. She enjoyed cooking, collecting and experimenting with recipes. She was creative in many ways, especially sewing,

quilting and photo scrapbooking. She was interested in family stories and genealogy and had a gift of keeping track of everyone. Hers was the love

that kept us all connected. She will be greatly missed. A Graveside Service for Teeny will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, 10:00 a.m.,

at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Ft Myers, FL 33913. Flowers are welcome, but you may wish instead to
