Edgar "Ed" Warren Hall

Edgar Warren Hall, “Ed”, 83, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at Gulf Coast Hospital after a recent illness. Ed was born April 4, 1938, in Fredericksburg, Virginia to parents Lloyd Raymond Hall and Beatrice Reed Hall. Ed spent his childhood in Colonial Beach, Virginia.

Ed married Sue Gibson Duncan (Hall) on June 26, 1958, in Arlington, Virginia. Ed and Sue later moved to Haymarket, Virginia where they raised their 3 children. Ed was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a great teacher. He loved deeply, always had kind words to say, and gave genuine encouragement to everyone in his path.

Ed was extremely proud of his family heritage and history in Virginia and talked of them often. Ed had 4 brothers, all who preceded him in death, Lloyd Hall, William Hall, Donald Hall, and Jon R Hall. Ed’s sister Patricia and her husband, Chris Edwards, still reside in Haymarket, Virginia.

In 1994, Ed and Sue both “semi-retired” and moved from Virginia to Punta Gorda to be closer to their sons. After Sue passed away in 2013, Ed moved from Punta Gorda to Seven Lakes in Fort Myers. Ed enjoyed his time on the golf course, loved watching old westerns on Netflix, and going to card games with “the boys”. He looked forward to big family gatherings and hosting out of town visitors. He loved being Papa and G’papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, proudly displaying their photos, cards, and drawings all around his home.

Ed will be dearly missed by his loving family; his daughter Cathy Baldwin, his son Chris Hall and wife Joni, and his youngest son Kirk Hall and wife Cathy, his grandchildren; Courtney Cole and her husband Rob, Chelsea Short and her husband Jacob, Turner Hall and his wife Emma, Ashley Faraone and her husband Mike, and Trent Hall and his fiancé Brooke, his great-grandchildren; Heidi Hall, Lilly Hall, Finley Hall, Cassidy Short, Sam Cole, Benjamin Cole, Jackson Short, and Felicity Faraone.
