Era Capelli, 98, a long time resident of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025. Era was born in Lambertville NJ and moved with her parents Guy and Carmela Rotondo in 1932 to Egg Harbor City, NJ. Her husband of 57 years, Rosario “Sam” Capelli, and her older brother, Richard Rotondo, predeceased her. Era held many jobs, including working as a seamstress, retail sales, and she retired as a forklift driver (something that amuses but does not really surprise anyone who knew her).
She is survived by her son Ronald Capelli and his wife Pam, and her daughter Deborah Bruno, four grandsons (Anthony and Chris Bruno and wife Hazel, Brian and Karl Capelli), and two great grandsons (Sebastian Bruno, Logan Capelli).
A visitation for Era will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
