

Born on February 12, 1933, in Aruba, Eroal lived a remarkable life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a passion for the things he loved. He built a career as a skilled welder and took great pride in contributing to projects of historic significance, including helping construct launch pads used by NASA's space shuttle program.
Eroal had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed listening to all genres throughout his life. He was also passionate about automobiles, especially classic American cars, and spent many hours admiring and discussing them with family and friends. An active man, he enjoyed weightlifting and cycling, pursuits that reflected his determination, discipline, and enthusiasm for life.
Eroal was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Tross, who passed away on January 13, 2021; his son, Tisio Bridgewater; his grandson, Walter; and his sister, Nuris.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his children, Claudette Tross, Ricardo Tross, and Felita Tross; his grandchildren, Brian, Kristina, Raquel, and Brandon; his great-grandson, Maverick; and his sister, Reneta.
Eroal is also survived by his special cousin, Leslie; family friend, Marie; close family members, Julika, Alfred, and Joyce; and many other beloved relatives and friends whose lives he touched throughout the years.
The family recognizes that Eroal's life was enriched by countless relationships and extends its sincere apologies to anyone whose name may not be listed here. Please know that your love, friendship, and support were deeply appreciated and will always be remembered as part of his legacy.
A Celebration of Life honoring Eroal will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, located at 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913.
Following cremation, Eroal's ashes will be laid to rest at Lee Memorial Park at a later date, which will be announced by the family.
Though he is no longer with us in person, Eroal's strength, kindness, wisdom, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
