Eva Lee Weeks

Eva’s unwavering devotion to the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life, and she cherished her Temple Baptist family with all her heart. She loved helping with the Mother’s Day banquets and other events. For 33 years, she partnered with her beloved husband Gene in building and running Weeks Plumbing, a true testament to their dedication and teamwork. Eva’s love for Elvis Presley music often filled her home. She loved shopping and having the perfect outfit to wear to parties and events. She was one classy lady. During holiday gatherings she was delighted in hosting and cooking for her loved ones. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and family meals were never complete without her breakfast eggs, famous fried chicken strips, fried fish, coconut cake and homemade biscuits— recipes that will be warmly remembered for generations.

Eva is survived by her son, Danny Weeks: grandchildren: Tracy Demetree, Jeffrey (Kristen) Weeks, Matt Weeks, Chad Weeks, Dean Weeks, Brandon Weeks, Joshua (Annsley) Weeks, Lacy (Connor) Jeffers; great-grandchildren: Callie Demetree, Matthew Demetree, Kailey Weeks, Logan Weeks, Kaylyn Weeks, Veda Weeks, Dawson Weeks, Parker Jeffers & Caden Jeffers; siblings: Randy Daniels and Eloise Cook; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Weeks and many nieces and nephews and great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Artis and Susie Pearl Daniels; her husband, Gene Weeks; her son Terry weeks on August 3, 2025; her brother, Raymond Daniels and her sister, Sylvia Brown.

Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida on Saturday, September 20th from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
