

George Steve Berczik III, 78, of Alva, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Born on October 12, 1947, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, George was the son of George Steve Berczik II and Helen J. Berczik.
He attended Penn State University and went on to enjoy a distinguished career as a Senior Engineer with United Telephone. Throughout his career, George played an integral role in communications planning projects, including the development of RSW Airport and the telecommunications infrastructure serving Useppa and Bokeelia Islands.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Alva, George was passionate about sharing awareness of the Persecuted Church and supporting missionary outreach efforts. His faith, dedication to service, and commitment to helping others were hallmarks of his life.
George is survived by his daughters, Tess Willsey of Fort Myers , FL, Barbara Beach of Gainesville, GA, Amy Sand of Cape Coral, FL, and 10 grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta Berczik, on November 20, 2015; his daughter, Christine Berczik, on October 15, 2021; and his brother and lone sibling, Robert J. Berczik, on September 11, 2009.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Alva, 2790 Joel Boulevard, Alva, Florida 33920.
Entombment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913.
