Hi Daddy, i know its been a while since i messaged you. Honestly there are times i pretend that your not really gone, i guess it makes it easier because your were in Florida.  I miss our Sunday afternoon calls we would have😓 I always dream of you, dressed in white and for the most part you seem happy which made me think your ok with our creator😁 I do still wished you were here because there are so many things i wanted to say to you, i guess you had to leave though. I miss you and love you always and forever, i wished that i had taken more videos of you so that i can hear your voice and see your smile again. Is Richard with you right now, i picture you and him and  some of the guys playing domino's and showing off to see who is better lol, miss sitting beside you and hearing you as you play. Happy father's day today DADDY, I woke up this morning and i was going to call your phone hoping that you would answer it but I know you wouldn't because I tried before and you didn't answer. I miss you so much daddy and the thought that I'm not going to hear your voice or see your face again breaks my heart everyday.I sit hear looking at your picture wondering what your doing right now in heaven...are you still playing domino's or are you talking about all of your life's journey and adventures with those around you. My heart still feels so heavy...I Love you more than any words can express, know that when you left that you took a big piece of my heart that will never be filled again because that belonged to you and you only. You will always be my first love know one will ever take that from you, never.....

My deepest sympathy to the Rookwood family Beona especially for the lost of her husband and my dearest friend. GILBERT I will miss you so much my friend our journey of a friendship began over 50 years ago from way back in Jamaica the place we call home. We would look up to each other for whatever concerned we have for each other. The only disagreement we had was over a game of Dominos, which was our most loved hobby and it was becaused we lost to the oppoinent for a bad play, and we couldn't agreed who made the bad play. For the love and passion for the game of Dominos for which we would drive miles to play. My dearest friend we're going to miss you around that table, and many other attributes. I remember the last time I came to visit we had such a great time, and promised to make a second visit in June 19th  2016. Because we had so much fun we wanted the time to last. At about 10 o'clock the Sunday night we had a great conversation and you told me everything was OK only to be surprised on Monday morning with the bad news. I was totally in shock to hear that my dearest friend was no more in pain, but God knows best brother your journey in life was not in vain you'll be missed but not forgotten. I would like to offer my sympathy and condolences to all of Gilbert's family friends and love ones, although I was Gilbert's cousin by  blood , we had a relationship as a true brother and sister, Gilbert was an inspiration to each and everyone that knew him or  came into contact with him. During his time of sickness, he always had a smile on his face no matter how much pain or how  bad he was feeling, his words to me was " boy Rosie me in so much pain, and feel so bad , but GOD is good ".Gilbert loved life , he lived life he enjoyed life, he will bring music and smiles to haven, we will all miss him so very much, I had the pleasure of spending time with Gilly  recently before he passed, we shared some precious moments, just talking , reminiscing and laughing, which I will hold very dear to my heart,farewell my brother heaven  welcomes you home with deep love and sadness "May Your Soul Rest in peace "you're sister Rosalin

Having a father-in-law is like you was a joy you were thoughtful, caring and dear, Always so willing to give me a hand able to comfort and cheer...Not many father-in-laws would do all you've done and that's something I'm forever grateful for. The memories we had together at Walter Street tuning up speakers, building speakers from scratch painting and shaping the wood not too long ago good times. Making beautiful MUSIC working together at the records store in Uniondale that was my first job you did that for me. You thought me so much about music it will stay in my heart forever and ever. 

A message from Gayle she phone me on May 16th 2016 "mamma she said is grandpa really gone or someone playing a game on me" I said yes Princess he's really gone "then she said mamma I am going to miss grandpa that big smile" I said yeah me too grandpa is gone home to rest "she said that it's true mamma that is true" Grandpa love you Gayle..

I am deeply sadden and words cannot express the sorrow i feel at this moment. You fought a good fight and your illness never kept you from enjoying life to the fullest.  Your favorite little sister love you and you will always be in our hearts. Say hello to the folks for me.  Until we meet again. RIP.

This is like a very bad dream, everyday i keep waiting for someone to call me to say that this is all just a big mistake and your at home in the garage playing  domino's with the guys....but know one is calling. Daddy, you were my first love, how do I let you go now, how do I move on from this. The thoughts of "I should have" keeps haunting me day in and day out, why didn't I have that talk with you like I planned? I dreampt you last night but I couldn't explain the dream, it  made no sense. My heart is so heavy right now...I feel so numb inside, I would do anything to speak to you again. I keep playing the last video of you that you sent me after our conversation, you always had problems with that phone. Sometimes you would send messages without even knowing you did or after we talked and said goodbye you could never hang up properly. I miss you so so much right now...tell me your Ok until I can see you again please daddy.

My heart is broken into pieces right now, there's so much I wanted to do and say to you...why did you have to go so soon?

I always heard great stories about you, but I never got the chance to meet you until Cece's graduation. I'll never forget you, I'll cherish every moment that we spent together.
