At the age of sixteen, Gregoria, known by many as “Goya” or “Goyita” met Roberto, who would become her husband of 44 years and together raised eight children. Gregoria was a very humble, private, and reserved individual whose main priority was always her family. A woman of strong faith, who prayed daily for her children and everyone who had need. Gregoria liked to knit, do sudoku and crossword puzzles, play Mexican bingo, gin rummy and was known for her amazing cooking.
Gregoria Hernández Serrata, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, leaving behind a rich family heritage: husband, Roberto (deceased); Her children: Evelyn, Jesús (deceased), Esmeralda, Agapito (Dahlia), María, Hilda, Carolina and Norma (Charlie); Grandchildren: Roberto (Emily), Randy (Stephanie), Agapito Jr., Patricia, Daniel, Jesús Jr., Marlaina Edwards (Aaron), Kayla, Cory, Isabella, Damián Pérez Jr., Amado, Eloy, Armando (Amber), Noraelisa and great-grandchildren: Jaylum, Rylan, Jaylen, Liam, Elijah, Izaiah, Austin, Adrian, Danyella, Amiyah, Aleigha; Father: Timoteo Hernández (deceased); Mother: Natalia Hernández; brothers: Benito, Frank, Timoteo, Jr. (deceased), George, Ismael and Eliazar; Sisters: Ana (deceased), Elizabeth (deceased), Sara, Flor and Maria Estella.
She will be buried next to her husband at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Myers.
