

Lee was born in Nemaha County, Nebraska on July 23, 1936.
Lee graduated from Johnson High School in Nebraska. He graduated from Wentworth Military Academy in Missouri. Lee also attended the University of Nebraska and was a lifelong Nebraska Cornhusker fan. During his high school and college careers, Lee excelled at basketball, baseball and golf.
Lee’s work career included management/sales positions at Hallmark Cards, Campbell Soup Company, Massey Ferguson, Valley and Zimmatic center pivot irrigation. Lee was also an entrepreneur, owning businesses in the irrigation, cattle, seed and trucking industries. Lee loved interacting with people and for the last twenty years, Lee was a salesman with Winfield Solutions (formerly Pro Source One), winning the Top Salesman award in 2007. Lee shared his love for life with all who knew him.
Lee began his family and work career in Nebraska. His work also took him and his family to New Jersey, Kansas, back to Nebraska and for the last thirty years, to Florida.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice (Baehr); his children, Anne Frances Clark, Jeffrey Lee Grube and Anne’s husband Christopher; his grandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlin Clark; his sister, Dorothy Niedermeyer; his brother, Dale (Ann) Grube; brothers-in-law, Robert (LaVonna) Baehr, Robert Pease, and Joseph Diersing and 13 nieces and nephews.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Frances Grube, his sister VerNell Wilson and sisters-in-law, Janet Pease and Rosalie Diersing.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Saint Michael Lutheran Church 3595 Broadway Fort Myers, FL 33901 with Pastor Jon Zehnder officiating. Following the service there will be a reception at the Cypress Lake Country Club. Donations may be made to Saint Michael Lutheran Church or Hope Hospice of Lee County.
