Helen Leona VanHorn

On January 23, 2016 Helen Leona Van Horn, (nee Rosemann), peacefully left this world. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Van Horn, Jr. for 59 years and loving mother of four sons; William H. Van Horn, III of Fort Myers Florida, James (Debra) Van Horn of Florissant, Missouri, Robert (Sandra) Van Horn of Estero, Florida and Thomas (Mary Ann) Van Horn of Des Peres, Missouri. Helen was a grandmother to six, Michael (Andrea) Van Horn, Christine (Adam) Lofton, Katie Van Horn, Julia Van Horn, Kristy Dennison, and Leigha (Jayme) Edin and Great Grandmother to seven. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret M. Glennon of Florissant Missouri.She enjoyed oil painting, being a member of the Women's Continental Group of Fort Myers, volunteering at Lee Memorial Health Park, being an accomplished dancing partner and maintained a positive view of life. Mom loved to cook and hosted many dinner parties with style and grace. She loved people and never met a stranger. Mom was an inspiration to all her children and she will live on forever in our hearts; we love you dearly Mom.Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers, FL 33919.
