James Wilson French entered eternal rest surrounded by the legacy of a life rooted in family and quiet strength.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vicky French, who passed on January 13, 2026. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. French and Frances French, and by his brother, David French.
James is survived by his son, Walter R. French; his daughter, Heather Hilderbrand; his grandchildren, James T. Hilderbrand and his wife, McKenzie, and Ryan C. Whitman; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Kassen James Hilderbrand and Barrett Dean Hilderbrand. He is also survived by his brother, William R. French, along with extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.
His memory will remain in the stories shared, the traditions continued, and the quiet moments when family gathers and feels his absence and his influence all at once.
