James Proell , There isn’t a day that goes by that i don't think of you.  All three of us are doing great , I know that you are looking down on us and every day that makes me want to be better for you. We Love you dad / James Proell.

To the Proell family,

Please accept my family's most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. 

Like so many others Jim was an important mentor to me. Fact is my family is much better because of what I learned from him.  Not only was Jim a mentor he was also a good friend.  Jim was always great to work with because he made things fun while leading in a way that made everybody feel like they were achieving big things and working toward a goal.  This is indeed a rare attribute in a leader.  Because of the impression Jim made on me, I'll always remember countless moments being around him like they were yesterday.  I'm sure to miss Jim the rest of my days.

I am saddened and regretfully sorry to learn of this loss.  

Jim had a huge influence on a young man, namely me, when I first came to Prudhoe Bay,  Alaska to work many years ago. He taught me much of the ethics and edicts I, as well as many others who worked with him internalized and carry with them to this day. He was distinct, unique and engrained his compassion for getting things done into others in a way only he could do. All that came to know him would surely agree.  He will always be missed and forever remembered.

I can't tell you enough how sorry I am for your loss. I worked with Jim in Prudhoe Bay Alaska for quite a long time. Those years always bring a smile. We did the work we needed to do. And we sure had some good times and I laugh thinking about the jokes and the pranks from those days. I went to work in Anchorage not long after Jim left Prudhoe Bay and worked with him there until he went overseas to work. I called him a few months ago and we talked about those days and laughed like crazy. He was a great person to work with and to be around.  The world was a better place with Jim in it and it will remain that way because he was in it.

Dear Nhi, Aimee, Austin, Kristine, and Family, 

Jim was my close friend for many years. We often talked about the times we had working together at Prudhoe Bay in Alaska.  Jim was the best person for whom I have ever worked and this sentiment was shared by many others. He had a way of getting you to do what you may not have believed that you could do and his legacy is one of changing people and work situations for the better.  He had the ability to see the things that needed to be improved and then set about putting things better.  

I am sad with you for our loss realizing also that our lives have been forever changed for the better because of Jim and for the chance to have had our lives influenced by him we celebrate and honor his life.
