JAMES "JIM" CLINTON SIMPSON SR.

Jim, 77, of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed peacefully at his home on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was born August 14, 1943, in Harrisburg PA, to Samuel Dillard Simpson and Marion Bittinger.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nina Lee Simpson. He was a father to eleven children and is survived by: Theresa Harhen, James C Simpson Jr, Fredrick (Lorri) Simpson, Catherine (Mike) Finning, Karen (Mike) Zborovsky, Kevin (Lisa) Manning, Clinton James (Hope) Simpson, Samantha Vernon, Christy Simpson; Thirty-Seven grandchildren; Twenty-two Great Grandchildren, and five siblings: Ella Pulaski, Samuel Simpson Jr., Lisa Drake, Anna Hood, Norma Jean Singer. He is preceded in death by his son, Jason Simpson; daughter, Spring Martin; granddaughter, Chasity Bean; great granddaughter, Victoria Chellis; parents; and sisters: Marion and Helen May.

Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He shared his love of fishing with all of his children, grandchildren and cousins. He taught his children the value of hard work and family. He cherished every moment he could sharing in family celebrations and activities. He was always in the mood to tell a story of his many adventures in life. If you needed to hear about the good ole days, then Jim’s house was the place to be. His ultimate favorite past time was hanging out on the water with his children, grandchildren, and not to mention other family members and friends. He had a passion for football and baseball. He was a dedicated Green Bay Packer’s fan and when it came to baseball he loved to watch a good game, especially when that game involved the Braves and Marlins. However, nothing compared to cheering on his children and grandchildren as they were tearing up that baseball field and swinging that bat. He was a man that loved his family and was always ready to show that love.

There will be waterside service to be held at 8421 Main Street Bokeelia, FL 33922 on Saturday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at Capt’n Con’s Fish House located at 8421 Main Street Bokeelia, FL 33922.

Nina and family,
My heart is just breaking for all of you. Jim was always so sweet (in his sarcastic way) to me. Loved our bond over our love of the Green Bay Packers. I'm certain Jason was waiting to welcome him with a fishing pole and a beer. May his soul rest in peace and may all of your memories bring you comfort.
Love to all,
Cindy

Aunt Nina and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Jim, may GOD wrap his loving arms around you during this most difficult time. Uncle Jim was a good man and I enjoyed his visits to PA, he always shared stories about my mother.❤ Uncle Jim you will be missed but I know you are in a better place, up there singing and dancing with the LORD❤
