Jane “Jean” R. Helmlinger, 79, of Lehigh Acres passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was born in East Orange, NJ on October 5, 1937 to David and Jane Duncan. She married Harry E. Helmlinger, Sr. on October 8, 1955 in Orange, NJ. She moved to Florida with Harry in 1974. Jean worked for the Department of the Environmental Protection Agency for 23 years.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harry E. Helmlinger, Sr.; her children: Donnajean Summerall and Harry E. (Teresa) Helmlinger, Jr.; her grandchildren: Shayla, Jamie, Betsy, Brandon and Brittany; and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8 from 4 to 7 pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82 Fort Myers. The funeral service will be at 12 pm Friday, December 9 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
