

Janina Szpinalski (the late Kazimierz), age 91, from Fort Myers, Florida peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, January 17, 2022. Her spirit is carried on by her two children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews from every walk of life in the U.S.A., the U.K. and S. Africa.
Janina was born in 1930 in Tarnopol, Poland to the late Rozalia and Stanislaw Sobek. During her childhood, she and her family survived the unspeakable hardships of the WWII refugee diaspora causing the family to relocate to Uzbekistan, Iran, Lebanon and finally England. Janina married Kazimierz Szpinalski in England on August 1,1950 and they immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1952 where they raised their daughter and son.
Janina is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whose photos she proudly displayed for all to see. Children: Irene Kaim (the late John) Klajbor (Raymond) and Edward Szpinalski (Donna). Grandchildren: Andrew Kaim, Michael Kaim (sons Xander and Declan); Diana (Joseph) Kurcz (daughter Kamila); the late Katie Szpinalski, Kristen (Eric) Bielat (daughter Karina); Daniel Szpinalski; Dylan Szpinalski.
Janina was preceded in death by her siblings: identical twin sister Stanislawa (the late Julian) Hys, Bronislaw (Stanislawa) Sobek, Kazimiera (the late Stefan) Skalecki, Antoni (the late Bronislawa) Sobek, and Zdzislaw “Pete” Sobek.
Janina will be remembered and dearly missed by many friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.
