Jill Lee Swanson

Jill Lee Swanson, 55, of Fort Myers, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at her home. She was born on April 11, 1968 in Fort Myers, the daughter of Jackie Lavail and Charlotte Jane (Bryant) Hornsby. She had two siblings, Jana and Jeff.

Jill graduated from Fort Myers High School. In high school, she was the Drum Majorette leading the Fort Myers High School Marching Band during football games and the Edison Pageant of Light Parade.

Jill had a passion for animals. She grew up working in the family pet trade. Jill loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Jill had a love of photography and enjoyed taking photos of family.

On February 14, 1998, she was married to Duane Swanson in Fort Myers. Together they raised three children. Jill leaves her husband, Duane; three children, Cooper, Carson and Chandler; mother, Charlotte Hornsby; sister, Jana Bailey and brother, Jeff Hornsby. Jill was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Hornsby.

There will be a time to visit with family and friends at a Celebration of Life Gathering from 5 pm to 6 pm on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 6 PM.
