Joan Marie Dahlquist

Born in Highbridge, Bronx NY to Florence and Edward McLean. Joan moved to Croton on Hudson, NY and was married to Arthur John Ryder until Arthur passed away in 1985. Joan resided in Croton for 30 years where she raised her three children, Arthur, Patricia, and Eileen. Joan worked at Sky View Haven Nursing home for 18 years before retiring and moving to Florida in 1999. Joan married Casper Dahlquist in Florida in 1999 where they enjoyed golf and traveling until Casper’s passing in 2005. Joan loved nothing more than being with her children and Fifi.

Joan is survived by her three children, Arthur Ryder (Anna), Patricia McCollum (William), Eileen Serrano (Eddie). Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL on Thursday, August 10th from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 11th at 11:00 am followed by entombment in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. Info 239-334-4880
