He was a flight instructor in the US Navy. Following his discharge, he worked as a Master Electrician for over 40 years. He was known as a fun, laid-back friend to everyone and will be sorely missed.
John is survived by his children: Sandra (Andrew) Davis and John K. Vittie and grandchildren: Brian, Nick and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge, daughter, Denise Vittie, his parents: Margaret and John Vittie Sr. and 3 siblings.
