Joseph Allen Cooke

Reverend Joseph Allen Cooke, age 92 of Fort Myers, FL born August 18, 1924 passed away on May 22, 2017. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942-1946 and was ordained as a minister in 1954. Joe pastored for 53 years in Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Kansas, and Florida. Throughout his pastoral career Joe received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Wayne Bible College, Master of Theology degree from Luther Rice Seminary, and Honorary Doctorate from Eastern Nebraska Christian College.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John Fredrick and Edith May Lightner Cooke; Wife: Nancy Elaine Watson Cooke; Brothers: Howard, Elbert, and Cleo Cooke; and sisters: Helen Cooke, Viola Cooke Moore, and Emily Cooke Kline. Joe is survived by sister: Wanda Cooke; children: Joseph Cooke, Jr., Rebecca Cooke Carteaux & her husband Dennis; Steve Cooke and his wife Cindy; Kimberly Cooke Ralston and her husband Randy; Kelly Cooke Edman and her husband Fred; and William Cooke as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
